Overview
The User Tools Plugin, maintained by PME, allows Jira admins to merge multiple Jira usernames belonging to the same user. This page documents what kind of actions this tool currently does and does not support. PME is working toward enhancing the functionality of this tooling with epic .
Supported functionality for end users

Username used in component lead and default assignee | If username is used in Component lead or Default component assignee in projects Components list, then it will be updated with the new username after merge. |
Username used in archive projects project lead | If username is used in Project lead Project summary page of archived projects, then it will be updated with the new username after merge. |
Username used in archive projects component lead | If username is used in Component lead in projects Components list in archived projects, then it will be updated with the new username after merge. |
Username used in User Picker fields; for example:
| If username is added in the user picker fields (Single user picker or Multiple user picker), then it will be updated with the new username after merge. |
| If from user assigned in some groups, it will be removed. |
